THE SCHOOL OF ARTISAN FOOD COOKERY SCHOOL

The School of Artisan Food returns for the sixth year at Clumber Park with a first-class programme of popular classes for both adults and children, offering probably the best selection of classes at any festival! 

Sessions at the Festival of Food & Drink for children can be booked on the day at just £2 – with places allocated on a first come, first served basis – so make sure you arrive early and get booked in straight away. 

Children can get involved in sessions that offer the likes of ice-cream, dough ball and pizza making. 

Adult sessions are available at just £10 each and are bookable on-line in advance. You will need a ticket for the festival to access these sessions.

Alison Swan Parente, Chair of Trustees of The School of Artisan Food has recently made her TV debut with chef Tom Kerridge in the fantastic TV programme Top of the Shop.  

Before launching The School of Artisan Food, Alison was a passionate home baker, and has been interested in the food system and cooking for as long as she can remember.

Located on the beautiful Welbeck Estate in North Nottinghamshire, The School of Artisan Food is a world-class, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to teaching skills in artisan food production. The School offers fully equipped, spacious training facilities, providing the ideal environment to learn, develop and master artisan food skills.

A wide range of practical, hands-on short courses cater for all skill levels from complete beginners through to industry professionals in subjects such as bakery and patisserie, butchery, curing and smoking, cheesemaking, brewing, chocolate and ice-cream making, foraging and pickling and preserving.

Spend a couple of hours on a tasting session or learn a new artisan skill in a day. For those wishing to progress their skills, there is a full-time six month Advanced Diploma in Baking for those seeking a career as an artisan baker.
