School of Artisan Food Cookery School - Festival of Food and Drink 2020

Cookery School for the kids returned to Festival of Food and Drink this year.

What a huge success 2021 Cookery School for kids was, huge thanks to the Fabulous Dairy Maid and Karen Wright for their brilliant sessions.  Kids had a chance to make Naan Bread, Cheese, Butter, Rocky Road and Ice-cream, what fun!

Sessions at the Festival of Food & Drink for children can be booked on the day at just £2 – with places allocated on a first come, first served basis – so make sure you arrive early and get booked in straight away. Children taking part must be 6 years or over.

Children can get involved in sessions that offer the likes of Butter making, naan making, Ice-cream making and more.

This year, across both days, we will return with more ice cream making and cheese making with Lee-Anna Rennie-Johnson, also known as The Dairy Maid who teaches at The School of Artisan Food on the beautiful Welbeck Estate. And for the first time we will have pasta and gnocchi making plus chocolate biscuit rolls with the fantastic Viki from Twiddle Food in Sheffield.

We are following COVID measures and will be working in a well ventilated marquee. We ask everyone to follow guidance and respect social distancing. The team will have clean stations and will be cleaning between session, kids with have aprons and hand cleaning prior to getting started. Hand sanitiser will also be available.
