Go Back In Time with Creswell Crags
Local archaeological park and museum, Creswell Crags, will be running several activities that take us back to a time when woolly mammoths roamed the earth, and the Ice Age covered the world in glaciers and ice sheets.
- Discover a range of replica Ice Age artefacts, including flint tools, mammoth teeth, antler harpoons, and animal bones.
- Become an archaeologist for the day and find hidden artefacts and learn how they would have been made and used thousands of years ago.
- Recreate your own Ice Age art by engraving “bones”, drawing with charcoal and make clay figurines.
Staff from Creswell Crags will be on hand to answer all your questions and to tell you a lot more about what this extraordinary archaeological park has to offer.
