Celebrity Chefs use Clumber Park walled garden produce

The celebrity chefs will be used fresh produce from Clumber Park’s own Walled Garden at this year’s Festival of Food and Drink.

The Cookery Theatre will be alive with delicious smells from the mouth-watering recipes prepared by our celebrity chefs, made even better by the fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs used that are grown in Clumber Park’s Walled Garden.

‘We love sustainably produced, local and seasonal food because it’s better for the special places we look after, better for the environment and tastes better too,” says Charlotte Hancock, Visitor Experience Officer for Clumber Park.

“As a conservation charity, we take our sourcing very seriously. We only ever work with suppliers who share our passion for caring about land, nature and those who work in it. Many of our properties boast fully working kitchen gardens; we have one here at Clumber Park.

“Our Walled Kitchen Garden provides fresh fruit and vegetables to our Café and Tea House and have harvested some for the chefs at the Festival of Food and Drink to use during their demonstrations. We are also selling our produce in the National Trust area of the event field, so you can take some home to try out any of the recipes!’

Visitors will be able to see and buy the produce from the National Trust Clumber Park’s stand on the main show field. There will also be activities for  young visitors to enjoy.
